Beverly High School is set to undergo an upgrade with the installation of stadium lights and bleachers surrounding its turf field. This eagerly awaited development marks a significant milestone, especially considering Beverly High School’s long awaited anticipation.
The absence of lights has been a topic of concern for both students and staff since 2010, prompting impassioned discussions at a recent meeting located at city hall. Thanks to the passionate efforts of seven dedicated student-athletes, as well as staff representatives, the voices advocating for this enhancement have been heard by our city government, leading to this remarkable outcome.
The project is set to kick off immediately following the end of the school year. This swift action aims to ensure that the installation of the stadium lights is completed by the end of August, allowing for the stands to be assembled in time for the middle of September (the beginning of fall season sports). This strategic timeline aligns with the onset of earlier sunsets anticipated in the upcoming fall, maximizing the benefits of the upgraded facilities for the entire Beverly High School community.
With the installation of lights and bleachers, the school community eagerly anticipates the ability to host evening games, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for both athletes and spectators alike. No longer will spectators have to contend with unstable and cramped seating arrangements; instead, they can look forward to comfortably cheering on their loved ones under the bright lights of the upgraded facilities.
