Five weeks left – five weeks until there’s no more tests or deadlines, and it’s just you and the beach. I don’t know about you, but I can practically taste the salty water as the 2021-2022 school year comes to a close. Although I’m looking forward to the summer months, I’m also stressed about finding a job. If you’re anything like me, you probably are as well and are frantically looking for part time positions, so to make it easier for you and me, I compiled a list of some of my favorite options.
If you need money and want to participate in community service, the Herrick House is a great place to work. It’s an assisted living facility and it’s looking for people to work in the kitchen serving food to senior citizens. If you work well with people and are outgoing, this is a great option for you. This job pays 15 dollars an hour and you typically would work 6-9 hours each week.
Connors Farm, located in Danvers, caters to almost anyone. You can work in the bakery, harvest fruits and vegetables, be a cashier, run the food stands, etc. This is great for people who are good at customer service and don’t mind getting dirty. There isn’t a specific wage because there are so many job options at Connors Farm; however, you can visit them and ask any questions you may have.
If you want some quick and relatively easy cash, then work as a pool attendant at the Tuck Point Condominium. This job requires you to sign residents, as well as their guests, in and out of the pool area, test the pH-levels four times daily and chemically adjust the pH-levels when necessary, vacuum the pool, clean the walkways and keep them clear, and skim the pool of debris. This is a full time position, 10am to 6pm every day, and pays around 17 dollars per hour.
