Coming off of a victory last year, Beverly senior girls took on Salem High on November 16th at Bertram field in Salem for the traditional Beverly vs. Salem Powderpuff Game. As per tradition, the senior girls donned football flag belts and senior boys were the cheerleaders, clad in bright orange shirts with shimmering pom poms. The game got off to an exciting start with Beverly getting a touchdown during the first play. The crowd was ecstatic, with encouraging cheers of Beverly students filling the stands. Beverly came out of the first half with a steady lead on the Salem Witches.
During halftime, Beverly cheerleaders stole the show, flipping and spinning around to the crowd’s delight. Salem performed as well, gaining encouraging cheers from both sides of the stands. The excitement was palpable as the Panthers furthered their lead in the second half, getting touchdown after touchdown and hiking the score board higher and higher. In the end, the Panthers were able to pull through beating Salem with a whooping 31 to 19. The support of the crowd and the never ending Panther spirit helped us pull off this great victory. Amazing job to all seniors who were able to participate in this historic game. We can only hope that the up and coming seniors will be able to live up to this expectation.
