Most Anticipated Films of 2025

As the new year begins, many are looking forward to upcoming tv series, books, music, and especially movies. Here are just a few anticipated films coming out in the year of 2025. 

1. Micky 17 

Is based on the science fiction novel Mickey7. It follows the story of an “expendable” man sent on a dangerous journey to colonize an ice planet. It premieres on April 18th.  

2. Snow White

This is a modern take on the classic 1937 animated movie of this fairytale. It is a contemporary retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as they work to fight against the evils of their world. It is released in theaters on March 21st. 

3. How to Train Your Dragon

From the DreamWorks animation film, they are producing a new and live-action adaptation of the generational favorite How to Train Your Dragon. It follows the story of a young Viking who is hoping to hunt dragons but soon discovers a new relationship with one that will change his view on his life forever. The movie is set to premiere on June 13th. 

4. A Minecraft Movie

From Warner Bros. Pictures comes a new take on the famous video game “Minecraft.” It features “Steve” (Jack Black) and 3 other misfits who are transported into a cubic world with many unheard-of surprises around the corner. Its to be released on April 4th. 

5. F1

F1 has grown in popularity over the years and now they are bringing it into the theatres. The story features an ex-F1 driver who makes a surprise return to the race track years after a horrible crash. Premieres June 27. 

6. Wicked: For Good

After the crazy popularity around the first half of the Wicked movie, everyone has been waiting on the edge of their seats for the finale. It will continue the story of Glina and Elphaba, before, during, and after the events of the Wizard of Oz. The movie comes out late in the year, on November 21st.
