Beverly High’s own wrestling team has been competing at a new high, never before seen in all of the school’s history. With a very high win-loss ratio, they have been performing amazingly, according to one of their members, Nick Pratt.
Competing against other schools, they have won twenty-seven games and only lost four. Winning against schools like Westford Academy, one of the oldest schools in the nation with a very prestigious wrestling team, one of the top five programs in the state. Additionally, on January 22nd, they beat their long time rival Danvers High School with a score of forty-seven to twenty-seven.
This is especially significant as, according to Pratt, “Usually it’s a three to twelve point difference, not twenty!”
They also won the Cape Ann League/Northeastern Conference Championship, with schools competing from across seven other states. According to their official twitter (@pantherwrestle), they won with a score of 156.5 points.
