With fall officially here, it’s time to get out and take advantage of all the opportunities that the season has to offer. From pumpkin patches to corn mazes, there are countless activities to try out with both friends and family in these chilly months ahead.
Pumpkin Picking/Carving
The iconic symbol of the season: Pumpkins. It’s the item that represents the harvest and has become a cultural icon, serving as a great way to get into the autumn feels. Find a farm near you and choose the perfect pumpkin for your front steps or for carving your own unique design!
Nature Walks
The best part of fall, in my personal opinion, is the foliage. The leaves are the perfect sight of natural beauty, and the weather is ideal with a cool, crisp breeze in the air. To fully enjoy the changing scenery, put on your sneakers and take a nature walk or hike to explore the colorful surrounding environment.
Corn Mazes
Corn Mazes are an essential activity with either friends or family. Some great local ones are the mazes at Connor’s and Brooksby Farm. They are a perfect way to spend a few hours of quality time with your favorite people, but be forewarned, their difficulty is not to be questioned!
Apple Picking
Apple picking is a great way to get outside while also collecting those delicious apples that we all crave at this time of year. From Macintosh to Granny Smiths, the possibilities are endless when it comes to flavors. And when you’re done, you can experiment in the kitchen and whip up a sweet apple dessert with your freshly picked selection.
Attend a football game
Football season is here! A time where we all join together to scream at the TV or cheer in the bleachers. From fan zones, the halftime show, and some great football being played, attending a Beverly Panthers football game is a must! Make sure to also tune in to watch the Patriots play in the months ahead.
Halloween Activities
October means Halloween, so it’s time to get ready for some tricks and treats. Haunted houses and creepy characters are a great way to get in the spooky spirit. From Scream Fest at Canobie Lake Park to walking around Salem or taking a ghost tour, you’ll always be ready to scream with the excitement in the air.
