Back in September, as Covid-19 continued to spread throughout the country, the
Beverly school committee started taking steps to reopen Beverly Public Schools. Seventh
through twelfth grade moved from being full-time remote to a hybrid schedule-, a few
days of in-person learning, as well as a few days at home on their devices at home.
After asking some middle school students at BMS some questions, the answers
pointed out that the majority of students were content with the hybrid learning system.
It allowed them to see friends and teachers in-person instead of through an electronic
device, and made sure all the classes had learning time. Some students pointed out that
the schedule was quite confusing and that working online made it hard to keep up with
the workload.
Overall, students are pleased with the way the school schedule is being handled, and
enjoy being around other students in a classroom instead of virtually.
