Ghostland

by Anya

I know a nice place that’s just by the sea.

There are roses and grass and plenty of trees.

Where we hide all the day and dance all night

and simply exist as
translucent bodies in the pale moonlight.

It’s quite far from here,

yet also quite near.

For some it brings peace,

but fills others with fear
It’s a place we’re all going, it’s a place we’ve all been

and once you go there, you can’t come back again.
