As many people start to plan large Thanksgiving celebrations, the vaccination status of guests leaves many concerned and conflicted.

In 2020, experts urged those celebrating Thanksgiving to wear masks, move the events outdoors, and keep it to a minimum. This year, doctors are highlighting the importance of vaccination for all eligible people, especially during this time of the year. As it’s known, many strictly refuse to get a vaccination before attending family gatherings and the most that can be done is taking precautions to keep Thanksgiving dinner safe.

Regardless of vaccination status, one of the safest ways to gather is outdoors. If the weather is foggy or rainy, keep the windows cracked open or invest in an air purifier for clean air. Another solution could be to limit the number of guests attending or keep it strictly close family, along with spacing out chairs and placement around the eating table. Lastly, if you are experiencing symptoms of sickness, it’s important not to host or attend gatherings.
