Beverly Middle School has started a few new clubs that are hoping for new members! If you are looking to meet new friends or have an after school activity, there are a variety of clubs that you can be a part of. For example, Art Club with Ms. Quinn meets every Tuesday at 3:15. You can decorate posters, do a fun activity that’s assigned by Ms. Quinn, or just draw with the other members!
Madame Faria has started the Equity-Diversity-Inclusion Club, which meets at 3:15 on Mondays. This club highlights equality for everyone and makes sure BMS is a safe and welcoming place for everyone. The GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) Club is a similar type of after school club. Students, teachers, and staff are all welcome to join. The club’s goal is to make sure all students have a place to feel connected and to know they have allies, no matter their gender or sexuality. The GSA is run by Mr. English, Ms. Dwyer, and Ms. Moustakis. It meets Tuesdays at 3:15.
The Math Team is another after school activity here at the middle school. It is run by Mrs. Shaw and the meetings are at 3:15 on Thursdays. The team’s run ends April 15 so if you are interested, be sure to join soon! The Student Council is also looking for new members. It’s open to all eighth grade students, and fifth to seventh grade representatives will be decided by an election. They meet Mondays and Thursdays at 3:15. Student Council is run by Ms. Benosky (jbenosky@beverlyschools.org), so email her to take part in the club, or if you have any questions.
All of Beverly Middle School’s clubs meet via Google Meet. Please email the teacher that runs the club if you are interested in joining or have any questions.
