It’s that time of year when the days are longer and warmer and the flip flops slip on. One sign of the end of the school year for BHS is the REACH Fair.
From the months of April until late May, students of the graduating class work on a variety of different internships. Seniors who completed a REACH Internship created a project on their experience and what they accomplished during said time.
Each senior gave a presentation on their project, and students from other grades had an opportunity to visit the field house last week and view their hard work. Some examples of internship projects include being an assistant teacher in an elementary school classroom, being an apprentice to a business, or enriching the city of Beverly. One group of students created, filmed and edited a documentary about Briscoe, the old middle school, and had it presented at the Cabot Theater.
The REACH Projects are a great way to gain experience before college and give back to the community that’s given you so much!
