Uncharted: The Paper Store Improved

Since opening on September 4th, the new ‘Uncharted’ has gained significant popularity, with customers flocking in to explore the expanded selection and features. The store was formerly known as The Paper Store and relocated only a few doors down to a building double the previous size earlier this month.

What is Uncharted?

Uncharted is a sister-concept retail store to The Paper Store, selling a variety of products, such as home decor, toys, gifts, clothing, and jewelry. The Beverly location replaced the Staples in the Shaws Plaza (65 Dodge Street), thus increasing the original size substantially. Uncharted has grown its reputation as an ideal spot to purchase gifts, as its wide array of products almost guarantees something personal for everyone. They also carry many well-known brands like Jellycat, Stanley, Kendra Scott, UGG, and more, appealing to both adults and children alike.

How does it differ from The Paper Store?

The most obvious difference is the size. This new space allows them to sell a wider selection of goods and brands across a variety of categories. They have also added a selection of interactive “stations” for customers to sample products and personalize gifts. While The Paper Store used to be heavily focused on seasonal products, like gift wrap, cards, and ornaments, Uncharted has steered towards more trendy, social-media-influenced brands to attract younger customers.

Interactive Customer Stations

What makes Uncharted unique from other retailers is the wide selection of interactive customer stations. A few stations let customers personalize gifts by adding a name or message, with common customized products including stuffed animals, backpacks, and jewelry. In terms of jewelry, the store has also expanded the options included in its ear piercing service. In addition, there are “bars” throughout the store where customers can pick and choose items from a selection of set prices. A few examples include charms for bracelets, pens for a stationery set, or even assortments of candy.

Next time you’re shopping for groceries at Shaw’s or working out over at Flash Fitness, take a walk through Uncharted to check out all the experiences and products they have to offer!
