What to Do in Beverly as the Weather Gets Warmer

By Lillian Judge ’25

These next few weeks leading into summer are going to get warm, and with finals coming up, it’s the perfect time to get outside and relax. Beverly is full of fun and interesting things to do with your family or friends, or even all by yourself.

If you want to just go to the beach and have fun in the surf and sand, Dane Street Beach, Rice’s
Beach, and Independence Park are all popular beaches that are free and accessible to all. Grab your swimsuit and bring a cooler with snacks, drinks, and a speaker, and have fun! Just remember your sunscreen!

If you want to enjoy yourself in Beverly’s vibrant Downtown area, check out Cabot Street and all the intriguing shops. If you want to go shopping, check out Worthy Girl or Copper Dog Books. If you are craving something to eat, try Atomic or Delphine’s for a quick bite, or La Victoria Taqueria or A&B Burger for a full meal. After you go shopping you can bring a blanket and lie out on Beverly Commons.

If you’re a little more adventurous and want to get active outside, go on a hike or run in the woods! Try out a Trustee’s property, Long Hill, or J.C. Nature Preserve. If you want something less intense, go to Lynch Park and walk around the Rose Garden, and check out their beaches and beautiful park. Don’t forget water, snacks, and bug spray!

If you don’t want to go anywhere and just want to stay home, grab some friends and have an outdoor dinner or lunch!

As the end of the year approaches, stress and work increase. Try to get outside as much as possible and take advantage of all that Beverly has to offer, even if that means just taking your homework outside to do. Take time for yourself to relax and recharge!
