Coming from a past alumnus from the North Shore Music Theatre, I, Charlie Barror, am here to persuade you students and faculty to join the entertainment fun and see some shows this year. Shows this year include Mamma Mia!, A Christmas Carol, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story, Little Shop of Horrors, and Kinky Boots. The legendary shows created seamlessly throughout history that have taken years are brought to life on a round stage in YOUR TOWN! From the actors to the set design, the lights, the music, dancing, and expression, let the stage transport you to any time in history and bring you into any story book or fantasy you love. It’s as easy as buying a ticket.
Coming from someone who has worked with the theater, everyone there is super special and kind to make your experience there easy and planned out. North Shore Music Theatre is for everyone – a theater nerd, an elderly person, a parent, or a lazy student. Every background can find something to love there. This season is a special one. After the MAJOR covid lockdown, people have been desperate for some entertainment. Both the audience members and the staff at North Shore Music Theatre are ready to make the rounds and kickstart their normal schedule back up again. The loneliness is over because theatre is camaraderie. Theatre is family. I have always found a home in that space, and you can too. I’m a big lover of the Internet, but take a break and still get the same entertainment value in person without the screens. I mean, c’mon, I’m bored of my computer. I’ve gone through my entire movie & TV show list like twelve times. North Shore Music Theatre has kept a pretty valid name in our small city and has been open since 1955. The theatre has drawn as many as 350,000 visitors for musical revivals and regional and world premieres. New England loves this magical home of stagecraft and it’s officially open! So get out there and relish in the productions waiting for you.
