In what used to be the school bank next to room 143, the new Panther’s Den Cafe has popped up to serve teachers high-quality food made by students. For about a month now, they have been serving food during lunch for a low cost.
The students stated that their teacher, Ms. Kelly, was their inspiration for running the cafe. One student said, “She really inspires us to cook and be on our A-game and be the best possible servers we can be.” Their overall goal is establishing the Panther’s Den as a restaurant that will continue to serve even after its current members have graduated. “We want to pave the path for future generations after us,” another student remarked.
Business so far for the Panther’s Den seems to be going great, and the wonderful smells filling the hallways during the lunch periods only seem to be helping. Currently the cafe is only serving teachers, but there’s a possibility in the future that the food will be accessible to students as well. In the meantime, teachers will not be disappointed if they decide to stop by Panther’s Den and give their food a try. They are open on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:15 to 12:45 and on Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:45.
