BHS Pride and Prejudice

By Juliana Pagano ’29

The BHS Stage Right Theater Department are excited to announce their fall play production of Pride and Prejudice. Adapted from the classic novel written by Jane Austen, the story follows Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, who must overcome their initial dislike of each other to fall in love. The events take place in Regency Era England during the 1800s.

I took a quick second to interview two freshmen, one actress, and the other a member of the stage crew.

Interview with stage crew freshman, Lola Nesbit:

Q. Why did you join the stage crew?

A. I wanted to get involved in theatre, but I don’t really want to be onstage, so stage crew was the perfect fit.

Interview with freshman actress, Emma Flynn:

Q. Why do you do theatre?

A. Theatre is my passion, I’ve been doing it since I was three. I’ve done too many productions at this point to count!

These students are currently working hard to memorize lines, construct sets, and piece together various scenes. Their show dates are set for December 5-7, so make sure to mark your calendars now and support the department when the time comes!
